I’ve seem some pretty cool gymnastic tricks since my daughter started taking gymnastic lessons, especially since the older girls practice in the same gym.
But one that I’ve never seen is anyone doing the diving move called a “whaler” on the ground. But the guy in the following video can! It’s an amazing video, the whaler portion (although small) blew me away!
As a small child, I really liked the songs of ELO. Here is a video of a song that I thought sounded great but never really went far…
Okay, enough videos for the day!
I was recently reading ConsumerBoomer.com and she mentioned phishing and other forms of identity theft. So I mentioned for users to check their host file on their computer to make sure some ip address trickery isn’t going on. To check the file do the following:
- Using explorer browse to the following location:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc - Next check if there is a file called hosts.
- If there is, open it up and see if there are any lines that look like popular sites that you know of. If there is, the ip address that is defined for it is probably bogus, and it’s probably a trick!
- Delete the lines that are bogus and save the file again.
- And there you have it!
You see if a bad guy puts their IP address in and put a url site (ex www.ebay.com), they can create a site that looks like the real site (like ebay), and then they will prompt you for your account and password. Once they have this they will rip you off!

Useful info MR! Also if you do find something like that, chances are high that your PC is compromised. If a spyware can gain access to write to your host file, it can theoretically do more damage like logging keystrokes etc.
Keep your anti-spyware software updated. Keep away from IE and switch to Chrome.
Yes, it’s a very simple script for the bad guys to create too. I’m not sure if windows visa or windows 7 will let scripts change that though.
Holy smokes that guy is a front flip, back flip, side flip, whaler flip machine! Those are some seriously insane moves. Highly entertaining! 🙂
Nice tip on the ip address check. There are too many scammers out there these days. Any idea how to do the check on a mac?
I was amazed! That guy is awesome, and the speed he does that stuff… wow!
Hmm, on the Mac, no. But from what everybody tell me, it’s probably not an issue. I’ve gained a lot of respect for the Mac (and Apple in general) over the years!
These fraudulent people never chooses any time and place as long as they can take advantage from others for their own profits.
